The gift that needs no soil at all
Tillandsia ionantha absorbs water and nutrients through its leaves rather than its roots. That single biological fact removes every problem soil creates: no spillage in transit, no weight, no fungus gnats and no facilities team objections.
The care routine, in full
Once a week, soak the plant in room temperature water for fifteen minutes. Shake it upside down so no water sits trapped in the centre. Put it back. That is everything.
Why glass globes
The globe is the most photographed format we sell. It can hang or sit flat, and the plant is visible from every angle. For very large orders going to individual home addresses we usually suggest metal or wooden mounts instead, simply because glass involves more packing and more handling risk.
Branding options
Glass carries a frosted etch or a printed base plate rather than a direct print. Wooden mounts take laser engraving, which is the cleanest branding result in this category.
Watch for
The plant blushes red as it approaches bloom. That is healthy, not a warning sign, and it is followed by a bright purple flower spike.
