Pothos grows fast enough that a recipient sees new leaves within a fortnight. That matters more for gifting than it might sound. A plant that visibly responds to being looked after builds a small habit, and the habit is what keeps it alive.
It propagates from cuttings
Snip a length of vine below a node, put it in water, and it roots within two weeks. People share cuttings around an office, which quietly spreads your gift across more desks than you paid for.
Light and placement
Tolerates low light, prefers better
Money plant survives in dim conditions but grows leggy, with long gaps between leaves. Within sight of a window it stays full and compact.
Self watering option
